Pet Surgeries

At TVH we have purpose built operating suites containing the latest multiparameter  monitoring equipment to ensure that our nursing team can continuously monitor your pets vitals throughout their procedure. Our team of vets and nurses are highly skilled, experienced and on a daily basis carry out many procedures on different species of small animals from dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and we have even had bearded dragons, hedgehogs and birds.

Neutering your pets is very important unless you want to breed, as it can protect your pet from certain conditions when they are older and prevents unwanted pregnancies. Prior to neutering your pet needs to fast from food the night before, they will be assessed by the vet before the procedure begins and when anaesthetised they will be monitored at all times by a nurse until the procedure and recovery are complete.

All our vets are experienced in soft tissue surgeries for example gastric surgery, diaphragmatic hernia repair, tumour and foreign body removal, bladder surgeries and cesarean sections and many more.

We also specialise and take in referrals from other veterinary practices for the following surgical procedures Cruciate repair, Bone fractures which require plating, Aural(ear) surgeries such as Zepps and TECA, BOAS surgeries for the brachycephalic breeds and many more specialised procedures.
