Treaty Vets provides a canine physiotherapy service as it is now home to Limerick Canine Physiotherapy. Limerick Canine Physiotherapy is a dedicated veterinary physiotherapy referral service and is run by our own Veterinary Nurse, Karen Kennedy, who is also a fully qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist.
Karen provides an extensive range of rehabilitation therapies combined with various electrotherapy modalities which helps your dog recover from surgery or injury.
Karen prescribes a suitable home exercise programme for your pet, aimed at providing pain relief and optimising healing while improving strength and mobility.
If your dog is recovering from surgery or injury, or if your older dog is suffering from reduced mobility make an appointment to see Karen at Treaty Vets. Clinics are available for patients following orthopaedic surgery such as fracture repair or cranial cruciate ligament repair as well as specific clinics for elderly animals aimed at reducing stiffness and muscle weakness, providing them with the best possible quality of life.
The majority of Pet Insurance companies provide cover for Physiotherapy. Please check with your insurer prior to your appointment and bring any insurance details with you on the day.
