Neutering your cat

Most people do not have the time or desire to breed from their cat and do not wish to add to the number of unwanted cats and kittens already looking for homes.

When to neuter your cat

We recommend neutering your cat from 4 months of age Neutering your cat not only prevents unwanted pregnancies occurring, but also curbs unwanted behavioural patterns associated with sexual maturity and reduces the risk of certain diseases.

Neutering Procedure and aftercare

Neutering is a relatively simple and straightforward operation, with your pet more than likely able to return home to recover on the same day as their surgery. You can rest assured that your pet will be both safe and comfortable at all times while they are in our care: our experienced team carry out a number of in-depth checks prior to any kind of surgery to ensure that your pet’s health is never compromised.

At Treaty Vets we take pride in offering the safest type of general anaesthesia and monitoring equipment to ensure their procedure is carried out to the highest possible standard and in a safe and stress free environment.

If you have any questions about neutering or would like to make an appointment, contact one of our members of staff.
