Treating your cat for parasites

It is relatively common for cats to become infected with an external or internal parasite in its lifetime. This is largely due to their hunting nature, but they are also at high risk when socializing with other cats who may be infected. Fleas, ticks, mites and intestinal worms – for their small size, these parasites not only drive your cat crazy, they also pose a hazard to other pets and people.

Fortunately, there are many easy options to protect your pet from these parasites, from oral palatable medications to topical medication. Please discuss the best option with your vet, and don’t forget to treat your pet regularly, not just with their annual booster.
